2017 Summit City Chef Competition Winners Announced
Fort Wayne, IN, September 21, 2017 – The 7th annual Fort Wayne Children’s Foundation Summit City Chef Competition held September 21st at Parkview Mirro Center has awarded its winners. A panel of judges voted for “Summit City Chef”, “Best Dessert, and “Best Wine.”
Executive Chef Arron Clay from WOW Factor Catering was awarded “The Summit City Chef." Arron Clay received a traveling trophie as well as a watch.
Parkview Mirro Center Executive Chef Ryan Eckert was awarded “Best Wine” and was also awarded a traveling trophy.
Summit City "Best Dessert" was awarded to Executive Chef Preston Fallat of The Fort Wayne Country Club. He received a watch and traveling trophy!
The competition showcased chefs in the Fort Wayne area that also included Executive Chef Preston Fallat of Fort Wayne Country Club, Executive Chef Ryan Eckert of Parkview Mirro Center, Executive Arron Clay Schorey of WOW Factor Catering and Executive Chef Jake Koczergo of Umi Seafood/Sushi. Each chef had to prepare a dish with the specific ingredient of asparagus.
The money raised from the event goes to the Fort Wayne Children’s Foundation. Serving the greater Fort Wayne metropolitan area and surrounding counties including Whitley, Huntington, Wells, Adams, Noble, and DeKalb. The Fort Wayne Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds to contribute to agencies involved and dedicated to the prevention, counseling, and treating child abuse and neglect.
